While on the second stretch of our adventure (really just the second RV park we landed in) we crossed a beautiful bridge on US 1. There was a little diner in the sand, with red checkerboard tablecloths and picnic tables. We ate a plate of $6 spaghetti watching dolphins jump and play. I realized at that moment, “This is better than winning the lottery, a five million dollar house in Malibu or or your own reality show.” This moment was a once in a lifetime moment….the kind that people say, “I want to do that someday.” Someday becomes a code word for never, but we had made our “someday” that day and every day since. We stayed at that little beach spot (which happened to be St. Augustine FL) until we added two tattoos to our collection, met half the town, lost money at the dog track, and ate 10 buckets of oysters.
